52 Foods: 1 Year of Kitchen Adventures is my attempt to hone my kitchen skills, get back into practicing photography, and get to enjoy tasty foods while doing so.

Cooking and baking have been minor hobbies of mine for a few years now, and photography has been an interest for a bit longer. When starting to think about projects I’d like to take on in 2012, I decided it’s about time to stop trawling tastespotting every day (or, realistically, every few hours), slack-jawed, tummy-rumbling, and actually get into the kitchen and make things. I’m hoping to be more intentional not only about what I eat, but also about what I cook and what I learn about food in the process.

This year I’m dedicating myself to trying once new recipe per week and documenting it here. Since I’ll only be posting one actual recipe per week, you can expect to see lots of kitchen-y photos on the blog in between.
